World War Three: rebellion
Ch.2
When I awoke, I was lying on a old rug. I guessed it was supposed to be a bed. I tried to get up, or at least onto my knees. I lifted my head and pain shot throughout my body. I screamed into the stale air, my echo rang out through the sewers caverns. Even the scream sent a shot of agony through my head and chest.
"You know the pain might stop if you just shut up," a voice said. The voice was ruff, like all it wanted to do is beat up someone. I strained my eyes to look for the voice, trying to ignore the pain.
"Did we really have to drug him, I mean, he did save me out there. I don't think it was necessary," another voice said. This one was a female voice, and by what she said, it was the girl about my age who I helped out in the streets.
"I don't know if he should join us.He looks too young to be any help," this voice I couldn't identify, it was young, but older than me.
Some one leaned in front of me. It was the girl, her brown hair fell out of place from her ponytail. Her green eyes were covered with some of her hair. She brushed it back behind her ear, "Oh look, he's awake," she said.
"Hi," I whispered, wincing in pain, which just caused more pain. "I'm Jake Mayde."
"Hello Jake", she said, her voice soft," I'm Madison Keal, just call me Maddy."
With renewed strength I got up. Leaning against the wall, I looked around. And froze.
Two pistols were aimed at my head and one at my chest...
